CGAA students earn vocational (elective) credits by attending Central Nine Career Center or through meaningful employment. Central Nine Career Center offers the students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specified trade. Students, who are gainfully employed (working 15 hours per week minimum), earn vocational credits through Center Grove Alternative Academy. Weekly employment verification and follow up is critical for student’s success on the job. All students attend an “It’s Work” group every two weeks. This group focuses on: applications, references, resumes, interview techniques, social skills and retention.
